This Is What Your Gaming Mouse Needs: A Separate LCD
Last time we were impressed by a gaming mouse, it was because it has a cooling fan attached to it. This mouse from Gigabyte, the Aivia Uranium, comes with a sidekick LCD screen.
It has an integrated OLED monochrome display to clearly show how far along in the recharging cycle a power pack is. It also shows the current DPI setting of the Uranium and its current wireless frequency. You can even customize the macros, as this is where the onboard memory for the Uranium is stored. By offloading as much as they could from the mouse to the station, Gigabyte’s claim of 70 hours of wireless use does seem much more plausible.
There’s no word on price, but it should be available in June.

According to the project website Ouya Android gaming console sales was initially scheduled for June. The project was initiated on famous Kickstarter platform and got support of more than 60 thousands people collecting 8.6 million dollars for developing the gaming console. Razer is planning to begin shipping the next generation of 17.3-inch Razer Blade gaming laptop starting on September 30th.
Developers call Razer Blade “the world’s first truly gaming laptop“. One of the feature of Razer Blade is Switchblade User proprietary interface located on the right side of the full size backlit keyboard. The interface includes ten user-programmable keys for various gaming actions and small multi-touch display that could be used for game control and displaying additional information.
Razer Blade gaming laptop is powered by 4-core Intel Core i7 third generation processor and featured by discrete GeForce GTX 660M graphic adapter with 2 GB of memory. The screen resolution of Razer Blade is 1920 × 1080 pixels, i.e. conforms to Full HD format.
Razer Blade gaming laptop equipped by 8 GB of RAM and a boundle of 500GB 7200 rpm hard disk and 64 GB Solid State Drive. It comes with 2 megapixels camera and various network adapters such as Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi (802.11n) and Bluetooth 4.0. There are three USB 3.0 ports and HDMI built-in.

Halloween Gaming: Now You Can Play Tetris on a Pumpkin with Pumpktris
Oh, the things people come up with in the name of fun. Tetris was probably the most overplayed game on my old NES Famicom, so to see it resurrected and playable on an actual pumpkin is, well, kind of awesome.
But this is no ordinary pumpkin. Dubbed by its makers as the ‘Pumpktris’, this pumpkin has been embedded with over 128 LEDS and a board on the inside, which is basically the ‘brains’ of the game. The pumpkin’s stem serves as the joystick which lets you control where you want your Tetris pieces to be positioned. It’s good fun and definitely adds a spooky theme to a classic game.
Too bad it’s game over for good care of Mother Nature in a couple of days (or weeks, tops.) Hit the break for a video of some Pumpktris being played.

Play Station 3 gaming console – updated model
Sony announced the upcoming release of a new version of PlayStation 3 gaming console. The new console is slimmer and lighter. Sony claims that the upgraded PlayStation 3 is 20% smaller and 25% lighter than current PlayStation 3 Slim model introduced in 2009.
The storage capacity of the device has been increased. CD-ROM slot of the Sony PlayStation 3 console replaced by a sliding panel with a top placing optical media.
Sales of the upgraded version of Sony Play Station 3 console will start on September 25. The console will be available in two colors black and white. Customers will also be able to select the hard drive capacity. Models with 250 or 500 GB of space will be available. Such amount of space allows install a number of games as well as keep the collection of music and videos on the hard drive of the console.
The cost of the device is $ 270 and $ 300 for 250GB and 500GB models respectively.
$ 270 model will be released in limited edition and include Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception game and a $ 30 credit for Dust 514 content. $ 300 model will be released later on October 30 and will come with Assassin’s Creed III game.
Sony has also promised to release a number of options and accessories such as holders for PS3. Shortly after the release of the new console Sony PlayStation Store will be updated making on-line shopping easier and more convenient.
